The Nantahala Outdoor Center (NOC) will be hosting a ceremony October 11, honoring the 2007 and 2008 inductees to Paddlesports Industry Foundation’s International Whitewater Hall of Fame.
Among the 12 honored is 2007 advocate inductee William Nealy, a kayaker and world-renowned cartoonist. His most famous book, Kayak: A Manual of Technique spoke clearly and humorously to readers far outside of the kayaking niche and was translated into five languages. The ceremony is the first in a new bi-yearly ceremony cycle to be held at the NOC, previous events were hosted yearly at Maryland’s Wisp Resort. Tickets for the event can be purchased for $30 by visiting NOC’s Website or by calling NOC’s reservation office at (888) 905-7238.
